In a potentiometer circuit , the value of length AJ for which galvanometer shows null deflection is(Rac =4 ohm, AC= 100cm)​

A simple potentiometer circuit is shown in figure the internal resistance of 4fV battery is negligible AC is the uniform wire of length 100 cm and resistance 2ohm .

The figure is attached.

Explanation:

The voltage across AB should be 1.5 V for the no deflection.

Hence, current through the wire Ac at balanced situation

I=4/(2.4+2)=0.91 A

let the length of AB be x

2x/100×0.91=1.5

x=150/1.82

 =82.5 ohm

2x/100×0.91=1.5
