Actually the angle of incidence an angle of emergence is not equal all the time in case of a prism .
But when the angle of incidence and angle of emergence are equal then the angle of deviation is minimum .

Nandithas: thanks
ranjanalok961: its ok

HEY #ND.........

THERE IS YOUR ANSWER......

Answer:

YES ANGLE OF INCIDENCE IS EQUAL TO THE ANGLE OF EMERGENCE IN A PRISM......... ^_^

Explanation:

WHEN INCIDENT RAY INCIDENCE ON PRISM THAN DUE TO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DENSITIES THE LIGHT REFRACTS AND BEND TOWARD ITS NORMAL.......

BUT WHEN LIGHT RAY USE TO LEAVE PRISM THAN AGAIN REFRACTION TAKES PLACE WHICH COMPULSATE THE PREVIOUS REFRACTION AND MAKE THE EMERGENT RAY BACK TO THE SAME ANGLE.......

HOPE ITS HELP YOU.........
