In a quiz Copmetition ,2 marks are awarded for each correct answer while 1 marks is deducted for each incorrect answer .Neha gave 2 invorrect answers and her score was 12 marks .Find for how many questions she awarded correctly​

let's consider the number of questions as 'x'.

incorrect questions =2(given)

correct questions =x-2

score= 12 marks

equation: 2(x-2) - 1(2) = 12

: 2x-4 - 2 = 12

:2x - 6 = 12

:2x = 12+6

: 2x = 18

: x= 9

correct questions = x - 2

= 9-2

= 7
