In a reputed engineering college in Delhi, students are evaluated based on trimesters. The probability that an Engineering student fails in the first trimester is 0.08. If he does not fail in the first trimester, the probability that he is promoted to the second year is 0.87. P(he will fail trimester) = 0.8

P(he will pass first trimester) = 1-0.8 = 0.92

P(passed one is promoted to second year)= 0.87

P(complete first year) = 0.87 × 0.92 = 0.8004
