Given : Rain water is stored in underground  water tank ,  The water is stored at the rate of 30 cubic cm per  second.

To Find :  a linear  equation in two variables

Draw its graph

Total water stored in 3 seconds.

In how many seconds water stored is 120 cm

Solution:

water stored is y cubic cm

Time x second

Rate = 30 cubic cm per  second.

=> y = 30x

Graph is attached

Total water stored in 3 seconds.

=> y = 30(3) = 90  cubic cm

water stored is 120 cubic  cm

=> 120 = 30x

=> x  = 4

in 4 seconds water stored is 120 cubic  cm
