L of other diagonal BD = 24cm
area of rhombus = 1/2 (d1) (d2)
= 1/2 (48)(d2)
=24 (d2)
= d2 =24 cm !!
hope it helps u!!

The answer is 14 cm

GIVEN

Rhombus ABCD, each side is of 25 cm. One diagonal AC is 48 cm.

TO FIND

The length of other diagonal BD.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

We know that,

If all sides of rhombus are equal in length, the diagonals bisect each other at 90°.

Let the diagonals bisect each other at point 'O'.

Applying pythagorus theorem in right angle traingle AOB

AO = 48/2 = 24cm

AB = 25cm

AB² = AO² + BO²

25² = 24² + BO²

625 = 576 + BO²

BO² = 49

BO = √429 = 7

BD = 2BO = 2 × 7 = 14 cm

Hence, The answer is 14 cm
