let ABC be the Δ with AB=BC=x cm right angled at B
then,
ar(ΔABC)=1/2*x²

now,if the sides are increasedby 75%
AB=AC=x+75/100x=1.75x
∴new area=1/2*(1.75x)²=1/2*3.0625x²

∴% change in area=(1/2*3.0625x²-1/2*x²÷1/2*x²)*100
                                 =2.0625*100=206.25%

**% change=(final value-initial value)÷initial value*100

i hope this helps!!
