Answer:

AC=10cm

BC=6cm

the points are on a straight line

so AB=AC-BC

AB=10–6

AB=4cm.

if ABC is a right angled triangle and AC is the hypotenuse

then using Pythagoras theorem AC^2=AB^2 +BC^2

therefore AB=8cm
