Answer:

Length of Base = 6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Length of Base = B  cm

Perpendicular is 2 cm longer than the base.

=> Perpendicular = B + 2 cm

hypotenuse is 2cm longer than the perpendicular

=> hypotenuse = B + 2 + 2 = B + 4 Cm

In a right angle triangle

hypotenuse² = Base² + Length²

=> (B + 4)² = B² + (B + 2)²

=> B² + 16 + 8B = B² + B² + 4 + 4B

=> B² - 4B - 12 = 0

=> B² - 6B + 2B - 12 = 0

=> B(B - 6) + 2(B - 6) = 0

=> (B + 2) (B - 6) = 0

=> B = 6    B = -2 not possible

Length of Base = 6 cm
