YZ^2 = 169- 144

YZ ^2 = 25

YZ = 5 cm

Angle XYZ is a right angle traingle, Y=90°

XZ=13cm

XY=12cm

By pythagoras theorem ;

XZ²=XY²+YZ²

13²=12²+YZ²

169=144+YZ²

169-144=YZ²

25=YZ²

YZ=√25…………(taking square root)

YZ=5cm
