In 10 minutes the amount of water flow is 10⁷ litres.

Given data :

The depth of the river = 2 m

The width of the river = 30 m

Speed of the water flow = 1km/hr

So,

In 60 minutes water flow = 1km

In 60 minutes water flow = 1000 m

In 1 minute water flow = 1000/60 m

In 10 minutes water flow = 1000×10/60 = 1000/6 m

So,if we compare the volume of water flow in 10 minutes with the volume of a cuboid.

Then the,

Length of the cuboid = 1000/6 m

Breadth of the cuboid = 30 m

Height of the cuboid = 2 m

So,the volume = 1000/6 ×30×2 =10000 m³

So,the water volume = 10000 m³ = 10000×1000 = 10⁷ litres (answer)
