In a room it is best to place a room heater on the floor but an air-conditioner is kept near the ceiling because heater produces hot air which rises up directly andakes the room hot but AC is usually used to keep the air cool and is placed near the ceiling so that the cold air spreads in the whole room and makes the room cool
