In a rose garden,40%of the roses are red.The remaining are white and pink.Pink roses are twice as much as the roses.What percentage of the total roses are white?

Answer:

let total roses be 100% then red are 40 %, so remaining 60% are pink and white. let white be then pink will be 2x.

ratio of white is to pink is x/3: 2x/3

x/3 into 60% I.e. 20 is the white rose
