Solution :-

Mahesh is seventh from the left side and eighteenth from the right side of the row. 

If Mahesh is seventh from the left side of the row, then there are 6 boys at the left side of him in the row. Also, he is at the 18th position from the right side of the row. 

So, total number of boys in the row are - 

18 + 6  

= 24

Total 24 boys are there in the row.
