In a row of girls, Divi and Pavi occupy the ninth place from the right end and tenth place from the left end, respectively. If they interchange their places, then Divi and Pavi occupy seventeenth place from the right and eighteenth place from the left respectively. How many girls are there in the row?

Divi's position at first place - 9th from right
8 more girls are on the right side of Divi
Pavi's position at first place - 10th from left
9 more girls are on the left side of Pavi

Divi's position after interchange - 17th from right. And current position is of that of Pavi's, to whose left 9 more girls were present.
so, total # of girls will be 17+9 = 26
