In a school 4/7 of the students are girls,if there are 549 boys in the school,how many girls will be there

Let the number of total students  = x

so ,

     number of total students - number of girls = number of boys

  x - 4x / 7 = 549

  3x / 7 = 549

  x = 549 * 7  / 3

    = 1281

so , number of girls = 1281  - 549

                                = 732

now we will devide 549 with 3
