ANSWER:-

636 students

EXPLAINATION-

Total number of students = 800

% of students absent = 20.5%

As per the data given in the question,

In the above question, it is given that,

In a school out of 800 student, 20½ % are absent

Here we have to find the number of students present.

We have to use the percentage of the ratio.

Now considering the ratio of 20\frac{1}{2} \% are absent.

The number of students absent is

=\frac{20\frac{1}{2}}{100}\times 800 \\

Solving the above equation we get,

=164 students

Therefore the number of students present,

=800-164\\=636 students

Hence the number of students present is 636 students.
