In a seminar, the number of participants in German, English and French are 288, 240 and 240 respectively. Find the numbers of rooms required to house them if in each room, the same number of participants are to be accommodated and all of them must belong to the same language.

The no. of students seated in each room would be H.C.F of all the three values above

288=2×2×2×2×2×3×3

240=2×2×2×2×3×5

240=2×2×2×2×3×5

THEREFORE HCF= 48

Now no. of rooms required are total number of students divided by no. of students in each room.

288+240+240/48

=533
