The story is about a writer’s struggle to find inspiration for his ghost stories. As the story unfolds, readers realise that the ghosts have been providing him with ideas and plot-lines. Further writer’s wife suspects him of having an affair with a lady. The women in the party also suspect and hold him guilty of cheating on Lavinia. His wife is angry I and willing to leave him. She wants a divorce. The ghost, Helen appears in the writer’s room suddenly and asks him to tell Lavinia to get rid of Ouija board. His servant, Gladolii also informs him that she is leaving the job as she is scared of hoodoos and Ouija Board The story reaches its finale when Lavinia comes face-to-face with the ghost and yet maintains her composure. The plot of the story has many unexpected twists and turns.
