In a store two 30 W electric bulbs are lighted for 4 hours, and three 50 W bulbs for 5 hours everyday. Calculate the electric energy consumed in 30 days.
Answers
Answer:
Power, p1 = 60W
Number, n1 = 2
Time for use , t1 = 4h everyday
Electrical energy consumed everyday, E1 = n1 × p1 × t1
= 2 × 60 × 4 = 480 wh = 0.48 kwh
Electrical energy consumed in 30 days = 30 × 0.48 = 14.4 kwh
Case 2:
Power, P2 = 100 W
Number, n2 = 3
Time for use, t2 = 5h everyday
Electrical energy consumed everyday, E2 = n2 × P2 × t2
= 3 × 100 × 5 = 1500 = 1.5 kwh
Electrical energy consumed in 30 days = 30 × 1.5 = 45kWh
Total electrical energy consumed in 30 days = 14.4 kWh + 45kWh = 59.4 kWh

Given:-
Power= 60 Watt
Everyday Use = 10 Hours
Total Days= 30
Cost Of elctricity per unit= 3.50 Rs.
Find:-
Total amount to be paid in 30 days
Given:-
The days can be calculated in total hours used in 30 days
Hence, Days x Everyday Use = 30 x 10 = 300 Hours
Convert, 60 Watt into Kwatt = 60/1000
By Formula,
Unit= Kwatt x Time (in hours)
U= 60/1000 x 300
U= 18
Hence, total unit used is 18.
By Formula,
Cost= Unit x Rupees per unit
Cost= 18 x 3.50
Cost= 63 Rupees
