Let the total number of people surveyed be x.
ATQ,
 \frac{3}{16} x \: + \frac{5}{8} x \: + 75 = x \\ \frac{13}{16} x + 75 = x \\ \frac{3}{16} x = 75 \\ x = 75 \times 16 \div 3 \\ x = 400

Thus the number of people using public transport are 3 X 400/16 = 75
