Let the number of people who can speak hindi be E.
Let the number of people who can speak hindi be H.
Given that n(E U H) = 50.
n(E) = 25
n(H) = 38.
Now,
We know that n(E U H) = n(E) + n(H) - n(E ∩ H)
= > 50 = 25 + 38 - n(E ∩ H)
= > 50 = 63 - n(E ∩ H)
= > 63 - 50 = n(E ∩ H)
= > 13 = n(E ∩ H).
Therefore, 13 people can speak both english and hindi languages.
Hope this helps!
