In a swimming pool water flows from two lines. The first line can fill the basin alone in 2 hours 6 minutes, the second line alone in 3 hours. The second line delivers 2.8 liters of water per minute. How much does the first line deliver per minute?

time taken by first line to fill the tank=126 minutes

time taken by second line to fill the tank is =3hrs = 180minutes

If it fills 2.8 litres per minute then the capacity of tank is =2.8*180=504 litres

So,

tank filled by first line in 126 minutes =504litres

tank filled per minute=504/126=4 litres
