Let wicket taken by parveen = y
Then wickets taken by ashwin is ( 2y-3)
Their product = y(2y-3)
20 =2y^2-3y
Hence , quadratic equation is 2y^2-3y-20=0

Answer:

2x^2-3x-20=0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : In a t20 Cricket match, Ashwin took three wickets less than twice the number of wickets taken by Praveen kumar.

The product of the number of wickets taken by these two players is 20.

To find : Represent the above situation in the form of a quadratic equation

Solution:

Let the number of wickets taken by Praveen be x

Sine we are given that Ashwin took three wickets less than twice the number of wickets taken by Praveen kumar.

So, Ashwin's wicket = 2x-3

Now we are given that The product of the number of wickets taken by these two players is 20.

So, (x)(2x-3)=20

So,  2x^2-3x-20=0

Hence  the above situation in the form of a quadratic equation is 2x^2-3x-20=0
