in a test (+4) marks are given for correct answers and (-2) marks are given for wrong answers . Rohit answered all the question and scored 68 marks , he got 25 answers correct . how many questions did he attempt incorrectly . pls answer with statements for eg:( total marks he got =68 ).

The answer is given below :

No. of correct answers = 25

So, marks secured = 25 × 4 = 100

Let, he did x no. of incorrect answers.

So, marks be cut = x × (-2) = -2x

Thus,

100 - 2x = 68

=> 2x = 100 - 68

=> 2x = 32

=> x = 16

So, Rohit did 16 incorrect answers and in total he attempted (25 + 16) = 41 questions.
