he got 8 correct answers.

ii) Smitha answered all questions and scored (-15) marks though

he got 3 correct answers. How many incorrect answer had they

I) 8(5) + x(-2) = 24

40 - 2x = 24

-2x = 24-40

-2x=-16

x=8

II) 3(5) + x(-2) =-15

15 -2x = -15

-2x= -30

x= 15
