In a town there were 3200 men and 2500 women. if the number of mendecreases 2% and the number of women increases by 4%, then what is the %increase or decrease in the total population?

new population of men =98/100*3200=3136
new population of women =104/100*2500=2600
total new population = 5736
total old population =5700
increase =36
increase %=36/5700×100=.63%
