A transformer that increases voltage from primary to secondary (more secondary winding turns than primary winding turns) is called a step-up transformer. ... As a step-down unit, this transformer converts high-voltage, low-current power into low-voltage, high-current power.

In a transformer, only Current and Voltage can be increased, that too at the cost of each other. The energy remains same in both the cases.
If a transformer could increase or decrease the amount of energy, it would violate the law of conversation of energy.
