Solution : Given the parallel sides 7 cm and 8 cm .

distance between parallel sides i.e. height = 6 cm

Area of the trapezium = sum of parallel sides × height

⇒ Area of the trapezium = (7+8)cm × 9 cm

⇒ Area of the trapezium = 15×6 cm²

∴ Area of the trapezium = 90 cm² . (answer)

solution :

distance between two parallel sides ,= height of trapezium = 6cm

area of trapezium = 1/2 ( sum of lengths of parallel sides ) x height

= 1/2 ( 7+8)x 6

= 45cm ²
