area of trapezium =1/2 ×(sum of parallel sides )×hieght

so , 1/2(20+40)×26

=1/2×60×26

=780cm^2

Thanks bro

Answer:

720 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

area of trapezium :

draw perpendicular from the smaller parallel side to longer parallel side.

therefore,there are three shapes formed

1 rectangle, 2 right angled triangle(with base 10 cm each and hypotension 26 cm)

therfore the area of trapezoid is total area of all these shapes

Area of two right angled triangles :

first we have to find the height by Pythagoras theorem

base² + height² = hypotenuse²

10² + height² = 26²

height² = 676-100

height² = 576

height = 24 cm

the area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 24 × 10

= 120 cm²

Area of rectangle :

length × breadth

breadth = 20cm

length = height of the triangle = 24

area = 20 × 24

= 480 cm²

the total area of 2 triangles and 1 rectangle:

2× 120 + 480

240 + 480

Area of the trapezium 720 cm²
