∴ P is the midpoint of BC

Hence BP = CP

BC = 5                ( given)

( BP + CP) = 5

(BP + BP ) =5

2BP =5

BP = $\frac{5}{2}$ = 2.5

Hence BP = 2.5

Ans :-  BP = 2.5
