As we know that sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°

So,

∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

Put the values of ∠A and ∠B

=> 55° + 40° + ∠C = 180°

=> 95° + ∠C = 180°

=> ∠C = 180° - 95°

=> ∠C = 85°

Hence, the value of ∠C is 85°.
