Area of triangle = 1/2 *base*height
Base= x
Height = 2x
= 1/2*2x*x = 400
=x^2 = 400
x = square root of 400
base = 20
Height = 40

zareensadiaii1: 1/2*x*2x=400 is correct but you wrote 1/2*2x*x=400

Answer:

Area(A)=400

let the base of the triangle be x.

height =2x

area of triangle =1/2 bh

1/2×x×2x=400(given)

x*=

 \sqrt{?} 400 = 20

therefore base=20cm

height =2(base)=2(20)=40cm
