Let us take the base if the triangle be x.

Then it's height = 2x.

Area =1/2 × base × height =1/2 × x × 2x = x^2.

But it is given 400 cm^2.

So,

ATQ, x^2 = 400cm^3

or x = √400cm^2

or x = √20cm × 20cm

Therefore x = 20cm.

So, base = x = 20cm.
and

height = 2x = 2×20cm = 40cm

let's take height and base as x ,when it's
doubled then it would be :-

base=x

height=2x

area=400cm²

area of triangle=1/2×B×H

400=1/2×x×2x

400=x²

x=√400

x=20cm
so,

{\boxed{\red{Base=20cm}}}

And height=2×x

height=2×20

{\boxed{\green{Height=40cm}}}
