Hi ,
In Triangle XYZ ,
< X + < Y + < Z = 180°
40° + Y + Y = 180°
2Y = 180 - 40
2Y = 140
Y = 140/2
Y = 70°
Therefore ,
X = 40° ,
Y = Z = 70°
I hope this helps you.

what is the value of angle y and z?

hey friend!
angle sum property will help here
angle x+angle y+angle z=180
the value of angle x is given and it has said that angle y and z are same so lets take angle y and z as equal and let us write is as b.
40+b=180
b=180-40=140
the value of b i.e the sum of angle y and z is 140
so to find the value of angle y and z when both are same divide 140 by 2
140/2=70
value of angle y and z is 70 degree
Hope it helps!
