Coordinates of centroid   = (4 , 4)  if In a triangleABC, vertex A is (6,8) and the midpoint of BC is (3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

In a triangle ABC, vertex A is (6,8) and the midpoint of BC is (3,2)

Let say D =  midpoint of BC is (3,2)

=> AD is median

Centriod divides Median in 2:1  ratio

=> AB  (6, 8) & (3,2) is divided by centroid in 2: 1 Ratio

Coordinates of centroid  =  (2 * 3  + 1 * 6)/(2 + 1)  ,  (2 *3 + 1 * 6)/(2 + 1)

= 12/3 , 12/3

= 4 , 4

Coordinates of centroid   = (4 , 4)
