In a tug of war game, if the two teams exert equal forces, none of the teams win. Why?

This happens because the two forces of equal magnitude are acting on the same body but in opposite directions. So the net force on the body is zero. Hence rope don't move towards any of the two teams. Therefore , none of the teams wim.
