Since the number is reversed the current digit in the units place will be in the tens and the current digit in the tens place will be in the units. Therefore the new number is (10*x)+3x. Adding the number and original number we get 10*(3x)+x+(10*x)+3x=88. Therefore the original number is 62.

Let the digit at unit's place be x.
GIVEN : digit at Ten’s place = 3x
Number formed :
10 × 3x + x = 30x + x = 31x
Number formed after reversing the digits:
10 × x + 3(x )= 10x +3x = 13x
ATQ,
31x -88 = 13x [Given]
31x -13x = 88
18x = 88
x =88/18
