Answer:

\large\boxed{Numbers\:are\:3\:and\:6.}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the two numbers be x and y.

Given:-

  • x+y=9
  • x × y=18

To Find:-

   Values of Both the numbers.

Solution:-

x+y=9

x=9-y---------(1)

xy=18---------(2)

Putting Value of 'x' from equation(1) in equation(2):-

⇒ (9-y)(y)=18

⇒ 9y-y²=18

⇒ y²-9y+18=0

⇒ y²-3y-6y+18=0

⇒ y(y-3)-6(y-3)=0

⇒ (y-3)(y-6)=0

\implies\boxed{y=3\:,\:6}

We can take any of the value of y,

⇒ x=9-y

⇒ x=9-6 or x=9-3

\implies\boxed{x=3\:\:or\:\:6}
