Given :- In ABC, a = 8, b = 11, and m ∠C = 125°. What is the area of ABC ?

Solution :-

from image we can see that,

  • BC = a = 8
  • AC = b = 11
  • ∠C = 125° .

we know that,

  • Area of ∆ = (1/2) * BC * AC * sin C { angle between sides we take. }

putting values we get,

→ Area of ∆ = (1/2) * 8 * 11 * sin 125°

→ Area of ∆ = 4 * 11 * sin 125°

→ Area of ∆ = 44 * sin 125°

→ Area of ∆ = 44 * 0.82

→ Area of ∆ ≈ 36.08 unit². (Ans.)
