These satisfy the requirements of angle bisector theorem. Then, by the theorem, we have:

ABBD=ACDCABBD=ACDC

⇒DC=AC∗BDAB=5∗36=2.5cm⇒DC=AC∗BDAB=5∗36=2.5cm
