By Pythagoras theorem --

AB² + BC ² = AC²

= AB ² + AB ² = ( 8√2 )² ( Since AB = BC )

= 2AB ² = 128

AB ² = 64

AB = 8 Ans.

surbhi1684: how the 128 no. come please say me in detail
surbhi1684: fast
Anonymous: by squarying number
Anonymous: 8 √ 2 ²
Anonymous: = 8 √ 2 × 8 √2
Anonymous: = 64 × 2 = 128

AB = BC....let AB = x= BC....(1)
by pythagoras theorem
AC ^2= AB^2. +BC^2
=>AC^2 = 2x^2 .....from (1)
=>(8root2)^2= 2x^2
=>64 * 2 = 2x^2
=>64 = x^2
=>8 = x....hence AB = 8unit.from (1)..

thank you
