∠BDA =∠CDB

∠DBA = ∠DCB = 90°

Therefore, by AA similarity theorem, we get : ∆DBA - ∆DCB

BD/CD =AD/BD

CD =BD²/ AD

CD =8×8/4 = 16 cm
