Well, the question is not clear enough.

But, as the result of a chemical reaction, reactants react to form products. Sometimes, by-products are formed in addition to new/required products. These by-products are the secondary and accidental product of a chemical reaction.

For example, glucose is the main/required product of photosynthesis but oxygen is also produced in the reaction as a by-product. This oxygen is either used by the plant for respiration or released into the environment.
