Equals are added to equals then the wholes are equal .

1 = 2

3=4

1+3 = 2+4 ( Talking in the sense of triangles )

Answer:

Using Euclid's axiom 2 :- If equal are added to equals the wholes are equal.

Step-by-step explanation:

∆1 = ∆2 - (i)

∆3 = ∆4 - (ii)

Adding (i) and (ii)

∆1 + ∆3 = ∆2 + ∆4

∆ABD = ∆BCD

(∆1 + ∆3 = ∆ABD, ∆2 + ∆4 = ∆BCD, See Figure)
