in agiven period of time the displacement of a moving
objects is zero, would the distance travelled by the object
be also zero? If, no, then under what conditions is it
possible?

Distance can never be zero as it is the actual path covered by an object

Whereas displacement can be zero as it is the shortest distance covered by the object from its initial to final position

Displacement can be zero only when the initial and final position of the object is the same

I hope this helps ( ╹▽╹ )

Answer:

No

Explanation:

displacement depends upon the difference of final and initial position an object but in the circular motion or cyclic motion , the final and initial position are same so there difference will be 0 and hence displacement will also be 0. Whereas distance is path travel by the body in any direction.
