Solution: Mole of A/(Mole of A + B) = Mole Fraction

→ Mass of hydrogen gas = 2 gram

→ Mole of hydrogen gas = 2 gram/2 g/mol

→ Mole of hydrogen gas = 1 mol

→ Mass of oxygen gas = 8 gram

→ Mole of oxygen gas = 8 gram/32 g/mol

→ Mole of oxygen gas = ¼ mol

→ Mole fraction of O₂

= Mole of O₂/(Mole of H₂ + O₂)

→ x × 10⁻¹ = (¼)/(1 + ¼)

→ x/10 = (1/4)/(5/4)

→ x/10 = 1/4 × 4/5

→ x/10 = 1/5

→ x = 2

Hence, value of x is 2
