Hey there !

In all 8 angles are formed by a transversal .

When a line is drawn intersecting two parallel lines in two distinct points , then the line is called Transversal .

Parallel lines are the lines which never meet . The distance between them is always constant.

Lets consider two parallel lines l & m .

Let n be a line which intersects the parallel lines in two distinct points A & B .

At A , There will be four angles formed .And At B , Four angles are formed .

When a Transversal intersects two lines , The Alternate angles and corresponding angles are equal .

Dear student,

A transversal formed In all 8 angles.

Look at the attachment for all these angles.

In diagram you can check these are mentioned as ∠1 to ∠8.

Extra information: following pair of angles are formed by a transversal.

Pair of corresponding angles :

(i) ∠1 and ∠5

(ii) ∠2 and ∠6

(iii) ∠4 and ∠8

(iv) ∠3 and ∠7

Pair of Alternate interior angles

(i) ∠4 and ∠6

(ii) ∠3 and ∠5

Pair of Alternate exterior angles

(i) ∠1 and ∠7

(ii) ∠2 and ∠8

Pair of interior angles on the same side of the transversal:

(i) ∠4 and ∠5

(ii) ∠3 and ∠6

Hope it helps you.
