Answer :

Given polynomial is (2y² + 7y + 5)

Since, α and β are the zeroes of the above polynomial

α + β = -7/2 ...(i)

and

αβ = 5/2 ...(ii)

Now,

α + β + αβ

= -7/2 + 5/2

= 1/2 ( - 7 + 5 )

= 1/2 ( - 2 )

= - 1
