FORMULA OF AMMONIA = NH3

given ratio by mass ;

= 14:3

also given that

  • M(N) = 14 u
  • M(H) = 1u

Thus the given ratio can be written as ;

  • 1(14)/3(1)
  • 1(N)/3(H)

Thus the ratio of elements can be given = N:H = 1:3

Thus the formula of ammonia = NH3
